The future of artificial intelligence in healthcare

During this on-campus and online event, the Junior Orsi participants took a deep dive into the future of artificial intelligence in healthcare together with three experts: Joan Van Loon, Pieter De Backer and Stephane Willaert. The Q&A afterwards was vivid and interesting topics have been discussed.

AR & VR in Healthcare

On 17/02 & 24/02, we had the chance to organize workshops about the state of the art of AR and VR in Healthcare. The first session was hosted online and we welcome Bert Hoorne from Microsoft and Dirk Neefs from apoQlar. During the second session which was on campus we welcomed Ward Peeters from Lifelike who gave an in-depth overview of the SARA project and other applications.

Congress 2021 "Changing Perspectives"

To kick off a new semester of Junior Orsi Academy, Junior Orsi hosts its annual ‘Congress 2021". This year our event had a specific theme "Changing. During the week of the 8th till the 13th of March, we released one or two readings/workshops every day. This ensured that participants could watch it immediately or at a time that fitted them best. We had an impressive line up of speeches to trigger students to be their best self, concerning multiple topics for everybody with a keen interest in innovation in medicine, engineering and entrepreneurship. 

Fundig a start-up or spin-off

Junior Orsi held their 2nd workshop of the Engineering Track. Regardless of some technical issues, the night was a success! It started with an introduction in funding by Tom Braekeleirs, from BlueHealth Innovation Center. Followed by Louis-Philippe Broze, he is co-founder of the start-up Spentys. The evening furthered with a lecture from Jasper Van Hoorick&Coralie Greant from the Spin-off Xpect-INX. Ending the event with an interesting Q&A.
